This Privacy Policy explains how RishtaSetu ("RishtaSetu", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by MindCraftAI Apps, collects, uses, shares and protects your information when you use our matrimonial matchmaking mobile application and website (together, the "Service", app package com.rishtasetu.app). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
a) Information you provide
- Account & contact details: name, email address, phone number, and password credentials.
- Profile & matchmaking details: date of birth, age, gender, marital status, height, city/state/country, community/caste, gotra, religious details (e.g. manglik), relationship intent, and a short bio.
- Education & career: education level and course, profession, designation, company, industry, income range and related details.
- Family details: parents' names and occupations, siblings information.
- Photos: profile photographs you upload.
- Preferences, hobbies and interests, and any social handles (e.g. Instagram) you choose to add.
- Communications: messages you send to other members and interest/connection requests.
b) Information collected automatically
- Device & usage data: device identifiers, app version, log data, and interactions within the Service.
- Push tokens: a messaging token so we can send you notifications.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and profile.
- To provide matchmaking — showing your profile to, and suggesting, other members based on preferences.
- To enable connection requests, favourites and in-app messaging.
- To review and approve profiles for authenticity and safety.
- To send you service notifications (e.g. new requests, matches, messages).
- To improve, secure and troubleshoot the Service, and to prevent fraud, spam and abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. How Your Information Is Shared
a) With other members
By its nature, a matrimonial service displays your profile information and photos to other registered members so they can consider you as a match. Sensitive contact details are not shown publicly by default and become visible only through the connection features of the Service.
b) With service providers
We rely on trusted third parties to operate the Service, including:
- Google Firebase (Google LLC) — authentication, realtime database, hosting and cloud messaging.
- ImageKit — storage and delivery of profile images.
- AI providers — where AI-assisted compatibility features are used, limited profile attributes may be processed to generate compatibility insights.
- Advertising / analytics — where enabled, to support and improve the Service.
c) Legal & safety
We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of RishtaSetu, our members or the public.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security or fraud-prevention purposes.
5. Your Rights & Choices
- Access & update: you can view and edit most profile information within the app.
- Delete your account: you may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from within the app or by contacting us (see Section 10).
- Notifications: you can control push notifications in your device settings.
- Depending on your location, you may have additional rights (access, correction, deletion, objection, portability) under applicable law.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your login credentials confidential.
7. Age Requirement
The Service is intended only for individuals who are of legal marriageable age and at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.
8. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country (for example, on Google/Firebase infrastructure). By using the Service, you consent to such transfers in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.
