Delete Your Account — RishtaSetu

You can permanently delete your RishtaSetu account (app package com.rishtasetu.app) and all associated data at any time. This page explains how to request deletion and what data is removed or retained.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)

Open the RishtaSetu app and sign in.
Tap the menu icon (☰) at the top-left to open the side drawer.
Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
Read the warning and tap Delete to confirm.
Your account and data are deleted immediately and you are signed out.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you can't access the app, email us from the address associated with your account and we'll process the deletion:

Please include the email address or phone number registered with your account.

We will verify your request and complete deletion within 30 days.

What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:

Your profile and all personal details (name, date of birth, gender, contact details, community, education, career, family details, bio, preferences).
Your uploaded photos.
Your matches, connection requests and favourites.
Your chat messages and conversations.
Your notifications and push-notification token.
Your login credentials / authentication account.

What may be retained, and for how long

Profile, photos, chats, matches, requests, notifications, login	Deleted immediately (in-app) or within 30 days (email request)
Records needed for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes	Retained only as required by law, then deleted (typically up to 90 days)
Purchase/subscription records held by Google Play Billing	Managed by Google per its policies (not stored by us)

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. To use RishtaSetu again afterwards, you'll need to create a new account.
